To help you get to know me a little better, and to help you to decide if you'd like me to be around on your wedding day, here's a little bit about me.
I have been a passionate photographer since I was a little girl, receiving my first camera as a present on my 7th birthday, whilst on holiday in France. I did lots of practising on that holiday, and many holidays afterwards. Anyone 'lucky' enough to have been on any of those holidays with me will know that all too well!
I love to travel to my favourite places, France and Italy, and new places too. Especially places that involve sunshine, beautiful scenery, and good food and wine :)
I hadn't really considered becoming a professional wedding photographer until I was planning my own wedding, and attending many of my friends' weddings. I would always take a few rolls of film (yes, I'm that old!) and give the couple the photos as a gift. The feedback was always very positive. I also realised how much I loved photographing people and weddings and eventually someone was brave enough to trust me with their wedding. It went very well :) I then photographed weddings in my spare time until finally I took the plunge and left my safe and sensible teaching job to follow my dream. That was back in 2009, and I have not looked back!
I absolutely love my job. (The weddings part as well as the photography part - you will often find wedding magazines on my coffee table!) I love people, and capturing happy and poignant moments in people's lives that will become treasured family memories. I also love making people feel beautiful and seeing them realise how beautiful they really are, and how this in turn affects their confidence.
I married my best friend in 2002 and we have a gorgeous little girl. My family are more important to me than anything in the world.
And finally, I am rather fond of pretty dresses and fabulous shoes. Which also tend to come out to play at weddings. I think me and wedding photography were made for each other :)
