To help you get to know me a little better, and to help you to decide if you'd like me to be around on your wedding day, here's a little bit about me.

I have been a passionate photographer since I was a little girl, receiving my first camera as a present on my 7th birthday, whilst on holiday in France. I did lots of practising on that holiday, and many holidays afterwards. Anyone lucky enough to have been on any of those holidays with me will know that all too well!

And on that note I'm quite keen on holidays too. Especially ones in France or Italy, and that involve sunshine, good food and wine.

In fact I am definitely at my happiest when those three things are combined. Which often happens at weddings. And there's champagne too. What a happy coincidence ;)

I hadn't considered becoming a professional wedding photographer until I was planning my own wedding, and attending many of my friends' weddings. I would always take a few rolls of film (yes, I'm that old!) and give the couple the photos as a gift. The feedback was always very positive. I also realised how much I loved photographing people and weddings and eventually someone was brave enough to let me have a go at being their official wedding photographer. I then photographed weddings in my spare time until finally I was brave enough to take the plunge and leave my safe and sensible teaching career to follow my dream. That was two years ago now and I have not looked back!

I absolutely love my job. (The weddings part as well as the photography part - you can often find wedding magazines on my coffee table!) I love people, and capturing happy and poignant moments in people's lives that will become treasured family heirlooms. I also love making people feel beautiful and seeing them realise how great they can look, and how this in turn affects their confidence.

I married my best friend in 2002 and we had a gorgeous little girl last year. My family are more important to me than anything in the world.

And finally, I am rather fond of pretty dresses and fabulous shoes. Which also tend to come out to play at weddings. I think me and wedding photography were made for each other :)
