I love weddings!

The nervous anticipation as the bride and bridesmaids get ready. The exquisite beauty of the bride in her dress, looking the most gorgeous she ever has. The groom's face as he catches the first glimpse of his beautiful bride. All the pretty details - flowers, accessories, stationery, rings - and not forgetting the shoes! The result of months - even years - of planning, sourcing, researching and creating. The celebration of love, commitment and family. Tears, laughter, joy, pride, hope and love - a myriad of emotions throughout the day. And it's my role to capture it all so that every detail and moment is remembered and treasured forever. What a privilege!

I will probably be almost as excited about your wedding as you are. From rustic-chic barn weddings to sleek modern urban affairs, whether in a stately home or a tipi, in the Lake District or Provence, in summer or winter, I will capture the style, details, atmosphere and story of your day. And I want to tell the whole story, so I will be with you from the preparations to at least the first dance, if not the last firework.

And people have said I'm lovely to have around - which is quite an important thing as I will be around you a lot on your wedding day :)

My style is a creative blend of documentary and fine-art wedding photography. Most of the time I will blend into the background, capturing moments as they happen, but I will gently direct when necessary to make sure you are in the prettiest light and look your most lovely. Group photos are important but kept short and sweet, and relaxed.

At two points in the day - usually while your guests are sipping champagne at the drinks reception, and then in between the wedding breakfast and evening party, I will take the two of you somewhere quiet for 30 minutes or so; a chance for you to catch your breath and take in the fact that you are married, and for us to create some beautiful fine-art images of you together.

I am currently based in Manchester but am happy to travel for weddings anywhere in the UK, or destination weddings abroad. I regularly work in London and the South-East, Cheshire, Lancashire and Cumbria as well as destination weddings in France, Italy and Spain.
