When I discovered that Sophie & George were spending a year living in the Alps, in the beautiful ski resort of Chamonix, I couldn’t help but suggest that they had their engagement shoot there. As someone just a little bit in love with France, I never need much of an excuse to travel there for weddings or shoots 😉 We spent some time cooking up exciting plans, and in the end it worked out that we swung by Chamonix on our epic family holiday road trip to Tuscany. Sophie & George took the three of us out for an amazing dinner the night before the shoot, where we ate delicious sushi, drank rosé and watched the sunset turn Mont Blanc pink… *sigh*. On the day of the shoot we were blessed with beautiful blue skies and sunshine and had a wonderful day exploring the mountains with Sophie & George, and their gorgeous dog Doug. It is always such fun spending time with a couple ahead of their wedding day, getting to know them and their story, and creating some beautiful photographs. I’m not sure if it was the stunning location, the gorgeous sunshine or just how lovely Sophie and George were together, but this one was extra special 🙂

My little Sophie wanted in on the action 🙂 After lunch we took some portraits of Sophie wearing stunning Indian jewellery. Such beauty! Then another look, a walk along the valley and time for Doug to splash in the river.
