Katie and Darren had a dreamy sun-drenched wedding at one of my favourite venues, Shortflatt Tower in Northumberland. Their ceremony took place outdoors, such a treat in the UK, under a beautiful floral arch, and guests joined in a rendition of ‘When I’m 64’ as part of the proceedings! Love that idea! Katie wore one of the most exquisite gowns I have ever photographed, the beautiful Eden by Jenny Packham, teamed with some twinkling Jimmy Choos, and looked absolutely stunning. Katie and Darren’s daughter Edie stole the show a little, being adorably cute all day as the littlest flower girl and wanting to be in on all the action, including the first dance! Katie & Darren’s wedding styling featured french lavender, beautiful crockery, striped straws, deckchairs and lawn games, and much fun was had by all. The party lasted into the evening with amazing music from the live band and a packed dancefloor. There were many happy tears, lots of love and laughter and so much sunshine! I didn’t stop smiling all day. I really do have the best job in the world 🙂
