I am a fine art editorial wedding photographer based in South West France. Originally from England, I now live in France with my husband and three beautiful girls. Our french adventure began in 2017, when we bought a stone farmhouse on top of a hill in rural Charente, a beautiful area full of sunflower fields and vineyards, pretty villages and stunning chateaux – within easy reach of the Dordogne, Bordeaux, the Ile de Ré, Loire Valley, and Paris on the super-fast TGV line. I am also happy to travel further afield for beautiful weddings, and regularly photograph weddings in Provence and the French Riviera.
My style is a blend of fine art and editorial, a light, airy and ethereal feel with a modern edge. My work has been described as refined, elegant and artistic, but with soul and personality. I am equally drawn to creating artistic portraits, and capturing natural moments. Inspired by film photography, I try to incorporate the timeless feel, soft tones and authenticity of this classic medium into my digital work. I adore natural light and work primarily with this during until the sun goes down (and especially that magical golden hour light just before the sun goes down!), but happy to bring out the flash for that editorial look for the party!
My approach to wedding photography is friendly, informal and relaxed. I blend editorial coverage with beautifully crafted portraits, directing you into the most flattering poses and prettiest light while keeping the moments authentic and romantic.
I believe that having a genuine connection with the couples that I photograph results in beautiful, authentic images, so we always arange a zoom call to see if we are a good fit before booking. I then spend time getting to know you before the wedding, helping you feel at ease in front of the camera, so that by the wedding day it feels more like you are being photographed by a good friend (and hopefully that’s actually the case!)
On the wedding day I love to be fully immersed in the action; you will probably see me shed a tear during the ceremony and speeches, and may even find me on the dance floor at the end of the night! I have found the more involved I am, the more part of the wedding day I feel, the better the photos (and couples that feed me well definitely get extra blessings!)
Every wedding is unique, so please get in touch via my contact page for a bespoke quote and more details.
I take on a limited number of commissions each year to ensure my couples receive the care and attention they deserve, so please get in touch sooner rather than later to avoid disappointment.
